Another game, another loss
That’s pretty much the rhythm with my football team at the moment. In the end of last year most of our better players quit the team. We kept struggling on and with many new players, we’ve once again gathered up to make a full team. Most of the new players, however, haven’t played much football in their days it seems, as they tend not to do that much good.
Our first game this year, we lost with 1-28 or something like that (I believe I posted about this sometime too) and we barely had any chances. Since then we’ve continued losing with 0-17 (worth mentioning I wasn’t playing that one), 0-6, 2-9 and 0-8.
As far as I can remember I’ve played as left defender. I was, in the beginning of this season, however thrown in to play midfielder by our trainer. Since then I’ve been playing that - or at least until the 2-9 game. That game, our general captain was not able to play so I was given the chance to be captain. Doing probably one of my best games ever, scoring both our goals as a midfielder, I was put up as forward during our last game (this Friday). That game didn’t turn out that well though (0-8 defeat) and I obviously did not score. Still, I would be able to count the balls I got to run with one hand. Worth mentioning though, is that the 0-8 team (Tyresö-Hanviken) beat the 2-9 team (Vendelsö) with 5-1.
There’s one game I really look forward to. Facing Huddinge in the absolute last game in September - and considering that they have pretty much similar losses to us, that should be fun and our best chance of winning a single game this season.
That feels far, far away at the moment though.
